Description
The VSC 150 is a high-resolution computer-to-video scan converter. The VSC 150 provides the following added features: variable horizontal & vertical sizing, three user-adjustable encoder filters. The VSC 150 is ideal for scan converting computer images from up to 1152 x 900 down to NTSC or PAL video for videoconferencing, recording, or viewing the image on a TV monitor or other display. The VSC 150 features 15-pin HD and 15-pin D input/loop-out connectors and offers composite video, S-video, component video, and RGBHV output formats. For picture adjustments, the VSC 150 provides horizontal & vertical sizing, zoom, and horizontal & vertical centering/pan controls. Two levels of horizontal filtering minimize detail loss, and three levels of vertical filtering reduce flicker. Three user-adjustable encoder filters give the user a choice of encoder sharpness performance. The VSC 150?s memory feature automatically saves and recalls horizontal and vertical centering settings for up to 60 factory/user memory presets. A standard genlocking capability allows the VSC 150 to be genlocked with other devices for seamless vertical interval switching. This is an especially useful feature for videoconferencing applications because glitches are processed as motion by CODECs, leading to on-screen residual video. Genlocking provides glitch-free switching, eliminating loss of sync to the CODEC.An IR remote is provided for convenient IR control of all functions excluding genlocking. The IR remote includes three memory locations. Each memory location stores filter, size, and centering settings for a specific zoom setting. The memory locations allow a user to set up an image and its settings ahead of time and then recall that specific set-up instantaneously during a presentation. This can be of critical importance when showing detailed images during a videoconference.
